Krishna Guha is vice chairman of Evercore ISI and heads the Global Policy and Central Bank Strategy Team based in Washington.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Guha was executive vice president, member of the management committee and head of the communications group at the New York Fed from 2010 to 2013. In this capacity he led the New York Fed’s external relations, acted as a senior advisor to President William C Dudley on monetary policy strategy and policy communication, and served as a member of the New York Fed’s Executive Committee on Financial Stability and Regulatory Policy.

Before joining the New York Fed, Mr. Guha was a senior writer on global economics and economic policy at the Financial Times, where he held a series of senior positions including U.S. economics editor, Lex columnist and editorial leader writer (member of the editorial board). He was awarded the Best in Business award by the Society of American Business Editors and Writers and the Excellence in Financial Journalism award by the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants for his work on the financial crisis.

Mr. Guha has also served as a member of the board of directors of the Fulbright Association, a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Advisory Council, a member of the EU-Japan Forum and a fellow at Japan’s Keizai Koho Center and Nihon Shinbun Kyokai.
